Materials and Technique
The print is produced as a museum-quality giclée in two equally considered forms: on 300 g/m² fine art paper and on canvas.
Giclée is a high-quality inkjet process employing archival pigment inks. On paper it delivers exceptional colour accuracy, the finest detail and a crystalline surface. On canvas the same pigments settle into the weave, quietly echoing the presence and depth of the original painting. Both versions are made to last for decades.
I offer several carefully chosen sizes. Custom formats are always possible — simply reach out through the Contacts section.
Look at her. No — look closer. There is a kind of woman who does not ask to be seen. She simply... is seen. Always. Even here, behind glass, behind water, behind whatever the world has decided to call a wall.
She has been placed inside this transparent chamber — cobalt, ultramarine, that particular blue that remembers everything and forgives nothing — and one might think: a prisoner. One would be wrong. There is no pleading in her hands. They rise not toward the glass, but toward something further, something that has no name in any human language. A gesture. Half offering. Half incantation. The kind of gesture one makes only once in a lifetime, and only when no one is expected to understand it.
And here is the question — the only question that matters, really — what does the soul do when it is told to stay still? Does it die? Does it shrink? No. It learns to shine differently. It learns that light, when it cannot escape, simply changes its manner of being light. This is not tragedy. This is not even confinement, if one is honest. This is a woman who has made peace — not surrender, peace — with the fact that her nature was never negotiable to begin with.
The blue does not console her. It does not need to. It simply witnesses. Layer upon layer — deep, cold, luminous — like something remembered rather than seen, like water that has kept a secret so long it has forgotten it was ever a secret at all. And the light moves across her shoulders the way a confession moves across a room: incompletely, reluctantly, and yet — inevitably.
One does not free such a woman. One simply... stops pretending she was ever caged.
The limited edition is offered in two equally considered forms: on fine art paper, where the light remains precise and reluctant, and on canvas, whose weave quietly holds the density of the blue and the presence of the original painting. Both carry the same unyielding stillness, the same gesture that asks nothing.
A work for those who collect not decoration, but presence — for interiors where mystery is permitted to remain mystery: bedrooms, reading rooms, quiet corners built for looking twice.
