Materials and Technique
The print is produced as a museum-quality giclée in two equally considered forms: on 300 g/m² fine art paper and on canvas.
Giclée is a high-quality inkjet process employing archival pigment inks. On paper it delivers exceptional colour accuracy, the finest detail and a crystalline surface. On canvas the same pigments settle into the weave, quietly echoing the presence and depth of the original painting. Both versions are made to last for decades.

We are taught early which parts of us are permitted air. Longing, unless it is convenient. Sensuality, unless it is inconvenient. Vulnerability — almost never. So we build a second self for daylight, and the first one goes under, into whatever dark water will keep it quiet. This is where she has been living. This is where she has decided, finally, not to stay.
The sea around her does not behave like weather. It behaves like memory — deep, unpoliced, answering to no one. Prussian blue does the emotional work here: layered until it turns almost black, the colour of things we know but do not say aloud. And then, across her skin, light — not steady, not generous, just enough. Where it lands, there is honesty. Where the water closes back over her, there is the old habit of hiding. The whole painting lives in that trade.
Historically the siren was a warning — beauty strong enough to override judgment. Here the myth turns inward. Nobody is being lured. Something is simply refusing, at last, to stay silent. Her song is not for an audience. It is the sound a person makes when she stops editing herself for one.
