The Forest Nymph's Conversation with the Moon is about those rare moments when we stop feeling separate from the world around us.

We all have different names for something greater than ourselves. For some, it is God. For others, a higher power, the Creator, nature or the universe itself. Yet even those who do not believe in any of these ideas can experience moments when the need to control, explain and understand everything quietly disappears.

There are moments when we simply need to trust. To let ourselves become part of the world around us for a while — to feel the silence of the night, the presence of nature and the vastness of something that exists beyond our understanding.

The forest nymph reaches upward toward the moonlight, as if engaged in a conversation that takes place beyond words. Her gesture expresses openness and complete trust. She seems to surrender to the quietness of the night, allowing herself to simply exist within it.

The nude figure represents complete honesty and openness. There is no need to hide, perform or protect oneself. In this moment, she allows herself to be fully present, trusting both herself and the world she belongs to.

Moonlight moves across her body, emerging from the surrounding shadows and revealing fragments of the figure while leaving the rest hidden in darkness. Light and shadow become part of the emotional language of the painting — suggesting that we never fully understand everything around us, yet we can still feel connected to it.

The deep blue palette marks a new transition within the Nymph series. The earlier works were immersed in shades of green, connected to the earthly world of the forest, growth and the visible rhythms of nature. Here, the colour moves into blue — toward night, depth and a more inward, contemplative state.

This shift reflects a transition in the series itself: from listening to the changes within ourselves and finding our place in the natural world, toward a quieter experience of connection with something larger than us.

For me, these moments of quiet calm, complete trust and harmony with the world are among the purest forms of happiness. Moments when there is nowhere else to go, nothing to prove and nothing to search for. When, for a while, you simply feel that you are exactly where you need to be.

The Nymph series explores mythological female figures as metaphors for our inner states and our relationship with ourselves and the world around us. Through changing landscapes, light and colour, the figures move through different stages of inner transformation, from questioning and self-discovery toward trust, connection and acceptance.
