Materials and Technique
The print is produced as a museum-quality giclée in two equally considered forms: on 300 g/m² fine art paper and on canvas.
Giclée is a high-quality inkjet process employing archival pigment inks. On paper it delivers exceptional colour accuracy, the finest detail and a crystalline surface. On canvas the same pigments settle into the weave, quietly echoing the presence and depth of the original painting. Both versions are made to last for decades.

Naiad is inspired by the water nymphs of Greek mythology—Naiads (Ancient Greek: Ναϊάς), the spirits and guardians of freshwater sources such as rivers, streams, and lakes. They were seen as living embodiments of water—fluid, ever-changing, and deeply connected to nature.

In this work, the figure appears immersed in water, merging with its surface through light and movement. The head dissolves into shimmering reflections, while the body becomes elongated and fluid, as if shaped by the current itself. The boundaries between form and environment fade, creating a sense of unity and quiet transformation.

The piece is executed entirely in Prussian blue, with a strong reference to the visual language of cyanotype. The monochromatic palette, soft transitions, and luminous highlights create a photographic, almost dreamlike atmosphere. This cyanotype-inspired approach enhances the feeling of depth, stillness, and immersion, allowing the image to exist somewhere between presence and disappearance.

Light plays a central role—reflections ripple across the figure like water patterns, forming a delicate rhythm across the body. The dry brush technique adds a subtle, drawing-like texture, reinforcing the ethereal quality of the image.

Within the Inspiration series, Naiad represents inspiration as something elemental—arising from nature, from water, and from a quiet connection to deeper emotional states.
